WHEN CLONING YOU AREN'T SURE OF THE RESULT , [ANOTHER COPY OF AN EXISTING GENETIC CODE] , IS GOING TO BE EXACT , AND THE GENETIC ANOMALY , LET'S SAY , HAS INCORPORATED A REPLICATION GENE THAT RELEASES RETROVIRUSES, CONSUMING A PART OF ALL OPPOSING STRUCTURES .
THUS DEATH TO ALL INFECTED .
OR AT THE LEAST DESTRUCTIVE , YOU CREATE A BODY THAT LIVES,
BUT IS HORRIBLY DISFIGURED, OR MENTALLY DISORIENTED . THIS ALL CONNECTS WITH THE MORAL SIDE .

To clone or not to clone - that is the question. Well, does the world need a bigger population when we do not even feed, provide or care for those who exist now? I think not. The issue is not a moral one to me it is instead a rational one. Aside from the fact it would become a purely economic opportunity to replicate.Those who can afford will, those who can not won't. Thus, we would be overrun by Bush's, Kadafi's, Hitler's, and the like, and the predominantly rich, right-wing ideologues, who are ruthlessly ignoring the planet's problems now - just imagine the reprecussions. As it is they and theirs virtually control everything do you think more of them, in duplicate(s), would do any better. My, my the thought is putrid, repulsive and scary.
Cloning under strict laws and rules would be a joke as the rich and powerful can afford to ignore and avoid laws and their consequences. Eventually, real life dies off - replaced by armies of greedy, self-interested, right-wing neo-cons. The freedom to blog would be only one of the freedoms we would quickly loose. There is strength in numbers and we, the people', can never compete. In this case as with most others, strength is money. A world of thinkers, creators, explorers, dreamers, lovers, etc., though an ideal, would not be the result. If, someday when mankind matures spiritually, celestially, esoterically, etc. then the idea should be reconsidered.
