I AM FORCED TO ASSUME THAT THE MEEK ARE THEN THE DOGS OF WAR,CLEANING UP AFTER THE BATTLE.
THUS WAR ,EVEN THOUGH WE LOVE IT SO MUCH IS A LOOSING GAME,FOR BOTH FACTIONS,AND THE SPOILS GO TO THE ONLY FACTION LEFT ,THE ONES THAT DIDN'T PLAY THE GAME,THE MEEK,OR THE DOGS OF WAR.

Very interesting topic and relevant to the current times,come to think of it, basically relevant to the history of mankind.
It's too bad that the selfless heroes who fight and die to save the hide of cowardly selfish ingrates are condemned and ridiculed by the society they're defending.
They're accused of being baby killers" and destroyers of society.
Their lives are immersed in danger every minute of the day which many people, the meek, could never withstand.
Righteousness must be defended at any cost.
Nobody wants war but nobody wants relentless persecution.
The spoils of war become a dog's breakfast on a runaway train. The meek then fight among themselves to claim their share of what was worth dying to defend and protect.
It seems paradoxical but war is worth living for.
